Stephanie B. Vari, Of Counsel

Stephanie’s practice focuses largely on the defense of medical providers and organizations against allegations of medical negligence. Prior to joining Peters & Monyak, Stephanie practiced with an insurance defense firm in Denver, Colorado, and most recently, with a firm in Atlanta, Georgia. 

Stephanie graduated from Piedmont Hospital School of Nursing, and prior to attending law school she practiced as a registered nurse and later as a nurse paralegal in health care litigation. She has represented physicians, pharmacists, psychiatrists, advance practice nurses, midwives and providers from other specialties throughout all phases of litigation.  Stephanie’s background and experience in acute care and hospital risk management provide her with a unique perspective and familiarity of the issues commonly faced in medical negligence cases. Stephanie has delivered a variety of presentations to hospitals and other organizations designed to help reduce liability in the clinical setting.
